Safie Specialty Foods Co. selected the BatchMaster ERP for Food solution to meet the demand of its growing number of retailer partners across North America and facilitate the company’s entrance and growth in the international marketplace. BatchMaster ERP is an end to end ERP solution, based upon the SAP Business One platform, that supports financials, sales, purchasing, supply chain and customer service, in addition to food manufacturing.
Safie Specialty Foods is a 3rd generation family owned and operated company that produces hand packed pickled products, many of which are fresh and organic, gluten free and kosher certified. To meet their strategic growth objectives, Safie executives recognized that their current QuickBooks and spreadsheet system could not support both their domestic and international manufacturing and financial requirements. In addition, an ERP solution was needed to improve inventory management, planning and forecasting, as well as quickly and easily scale up both manufacturing and distribution operations.
Robert George, an outside food consultant to Safie, led the company’s ERP selection process. When asked why BatchMaster Software was selected, Robert replied, “We searched and reviewed many different databases with focus on manufacturing, but upon careful review, we felt BatchMaster ERP was the best food manufacturing ERP software platform. It became very apparent during the system demonstrations that the software was built specifically with food manufacturers in mind and provided an excellent platform to track yields, lot numbers and a variety of other factors specific to the food industry. Safie’s state-of-the-art production facility is SQF, HACCP and Kosher certified.
