Dear Valued BatchMaster Customer. I welcome you to our new BatchMaster newsletter! We are happy and excited to introduce our new customer newsletter so that we can keep in touch with you, share news and updates about everything that is happening here at BatchMaster Software and with our products and services.

As with all of you, it hasn’t been business as usual at BatchMaster. These unprecedented times have forced all of us to make changes, sacrifices, and find a new normal, and by no means has the transition been easy for many of us, especially our customers. The BatchMaster team has been working remotely since mid-March, but we are pleased to still be in a fortunate position to continue serving and supporting all our customers, conduct informative product webinars, and we will continue doing so with the only work-a-round being that we had to curtail our travel. We have helped many of our customers with their challenges as many of them are working remotely and needed access to their BatchMaster system. We have even helped them with their at-home BatchMaster printing needs. This all re-affirms the advantages of cloud services.

We are also taking this time to further assist the support needs of our customer base. Under the leadership of our new Director of Services and Support, Melanie (Mel) Lewis, we are restructuring our internal team and tools to operate more efficiently and effectively to better serve you. With this in mind, one of our major initiatives was the recent deployment of our online Help Desk portal, which offers our customers full visibility and access to their support ticket status.

Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your business and assure you that we are committed to providing the same high-quality service you have come to expect of us. Please know that we are here to help you every step of the way.

We are happy to announce the addition of a new key team member at BatchMaster Software, Inc. Melanie (Mel) Lewis, Director of Services & Support, for North America customers commenced her employment with BatchMaster in February this year. She is responsible for the quality of the consulting services and support you receive, working closely with our Global Technical Support, Customer Services Group, and Account Management teams.

Mel’s focus is to oversee:

  • Continuous improvement efforts
  • Your BatchMaster technical support needs and “add’-on” consulting services, following your original implementation.
  • Any escalation which may arise beyond that of the Customer Services Group and Technical Support management

Before joining BSI, Mel led technical support and service teams in the Software/SaaS industry, including technical support for highly-customized B2B and ERP solutions, including several from the Sage portfolio. She had also been an accountant, financial analyst, systems designer, and programmer. Regardless of role, her focus has always been on implementing process, people and technology changes that raise the quality of service and support customers receive.

Celebrating Customer Go-Lives!

Despite the pandemic, our implementation project teams and customers were working diligently together to maintain progress on their projects. Our team showed additional flexibility with meeting times to accommodate scheduling challenges our customers may have had with the shelter-in and physical distancing mandates. Despite all of this, we are proud to say that we still were able to achieve Go-Live milestones with four of our customers, three of which were performed remotely. These customers include Abundant Labs, LLC and Au Natural Life. Congratulations to our customers and the team members that worked together to achieve this.

In addition, Customer Service has several upgrade projects completed as well. We want to thank our customers, some of which took advantage of downtime; others who tried to keep momentum going with the new way of working, for all their support especially during this challenging time. Together, we can achieve great things!

Nu Life Global is a startup venture that focuses on hemp cultivation and extraction, and the production and sale of a variety of CBD infused Health and Wellness products on their website. Anticipating rapid sales and fast growth, the company is implementing BatchMaster Express, our cloud ERP for startup offering, to go live within 3 months. In addition, our software solution supports their business model as they acquire and convert their current extraction and packaging partners.
Midwest Health / Bev-Hub
Midwest Health is a diversified company that is launching a contract manufacturing business producing a variety of cold brew coffees. BatchMaster Food Manufacturing will be deployed in the parent company’s existing platform and rolled out to manage their 2 canning facilities in the US.

Document Management

BatchMaster 8.70 lets you attach any file or image or any scanned (with or without OCR) document to any Note field. It auto-creates an editable document summary up to 4000 alphanumeric characters. Documents can be checked out and in, and can have up to 5 tags for searchability.

Advanced Customization Capabilities

The new BME SDK customization capabilities let you change screen or field names for a specific screen or all screens; add custom master screens in control or grid formats; add new fields to screens; validate field inputs with custom logic; add multiple drill-downs to fields; further customize standard or custom screens; and add custom fields.

Engineering Change Notice

Engineering Change Notice (ECN) is a document which establishes controls over the process of modifying changes to the standard Bill of Materials defined in the BOM Entry screen, together with the reasons for the change. ECN ensures that the changes are built upon a known foundation and pass through an approval process to complete before they are processed to change BOMs.

E-Signature

BatchMaster E-Signature is used to get your document signed. It helps you to organize, track and manage the document signing process easily and securely. Its centralized approval engine supports multiple users for authentication to confirm the process using password-based signatures. It provides preventative control of changes performed on BatchMaster Enterprise screens within the system. A complete log of all actions performed during the signing process is maintained and available on the audit trail dashboard.

Transaction Audit Trails

Applying the Audit Trail function maintains a history of changes performed on specified BME screens. For example, when you select the Audit Trail check box for Currency Master Screen, the changes you perform on the Currency Master Screen is maintained as history. You can view the history of changes on the Currency Master Window by clicking the View Audit Trail button on the toolbar.

BME Finance

Here are just a few new features in Finance:

  • MS Excel based Income Statement, and customizable MS Excel-based Cash Flow Statement which can be mapped with the chart of accounts.
  • Separate screen to enter or import GLs related to employees such as Salary and Advances with the respective employee ID so that you can generate employee-specific statements to track all the transactions for a particular employee.
  • Finance now supports five dimensions. Also, the dimensions can be assigned to line items on the transactions. This greatly enhances the scope and usability of the multi-dimensional analysis functionality.
