BatchMaster® Manufacturing for SAP Business One® adds to SAP B1 all the manufacturing functionality required for a modern process manufacturer to manage the business.
BatchMaster’s extensive Unit of Measure conversions are added into SAP B1’s inventory, and enhanced, customizable Lot Number generation is also added.

BatchMaster® Manufacturing for SAP Business One® adds a comprehensive suite of modules to SAP B1, encapsulating BatchMaster’s “Split Bill-of-Materials” where the Formula or Recipe is independent of the Finished Goods. The finished products are defined individually as a combination of a quantity (fill-level) of a Formula or Recipe, with a specified grouping of packaging materials (such as bottles, cartons, labels, etc.). This allows a single production batch for a specified formula or recipe to be filled out to many finished products of different sizes, or packaging or label requirements.

    FORMULATION
BMM for SAP B1 provides comprehensive formulation management with version tracking and rollback capabilities. Formulas are scalable and materials can be measured in any defined unit of measure. BatchMaster supports multilevel formulas and easy material substitutions. Production yields can be assigned to any formula. BatchMaster is formula and not BOM based, with ingredients added by prescribed proportions measured by either volume or weight.

    LABORATORY
The Laboratory module brings the speed, power, and reliability of computerized formulation to your chemists and technicians. The module is comprehensive flexible enough to meet your specific needs, no matter what types of products you manufacture. Raw material specifications and formula physical properties are user-definable, so you can expect the calculations exactly the way you are accustomed to using them.

    PRODUCTION
Production batches can be defined as either a finished good or an intermediate. You can size a batch based upon a finished weight or volume or the availability of component materials. Batches can be defined as Fill (bulk to containers), Mix (raw materials and intermediates to finished goods) and Assembly (combination of finished goods to make up a deliverable product). A “critical materials” facility allows you to inquire if any material shortages will interfere with production.

    COMPLIANCE
BMM for SAP B1 eases the complexity of compliance reporting. Material Safety Data Sheets are entirely automated. Linked to formulas, an MSDS is automatically generated when a formula enters production for the first time or for the first time for a given customer. A new MSDS can be designed using Microsoft Word templates. BMM for SAP B1 supplies a wide range of MSDS reports, including period and year-end reports.

    SERIAL/LOT TRACKING
BMM for SAP B1 provides complete lot traceability – you can follow an item from incoming raw material through multiple bins to the finished good sent to a specific customer. Lot tracking is used for both purchased items and manufactured items. You can choose from several lot issue methods and create custom serial and lot numbers for any item defined in SAP B1. The item master screen in SAP B1 has been enhanced to extend lot tracking capabilities.

    COSTING
BatchMaster® maintains a true perpetual inventory on a real-time basis, with the immediate update of both quantities and costs. The Costing module in BMM for SAP B1 is for theoretical or “What-if” costing, providing sophisticated, precise calculations based on all factors that affect product cost - including labor, overhead, loss, and more. It will reformulate mixtures to meet desired target costs, and generate detailed analyses of all types of cost-related data instantly. With BMM for SAP B1, you can rely upon advanced tools, coupled with a disciplined methodology, to closely monitor and control your costs, without sacrificing quality.

    QUALITY CONTROL
BMM for SAP B1's Quality Control features help you to specify target values, control limits and maximum allowable defects. This flexible approach harnesses the QC tests as they are created and defined and allows for a range of test types. Several critical reports for Formula Test, Production output, down to Item Test are available so that you are always in control of your production process.
