| Bill of Materials
defines a finished good or end-item by combining
a fill-level of a specific formula with the
required packaging to make the item saleable.
A production batch is raised for the formula,
allowing for any number of finished goods
made from that formula to be produced from
that one batch. BOM breakdowns through all
levels can be viewed in tree structure in
BOM Explosion. Add Labor and Overhead costs
to separate filling costs from making costs. |
